Trudy Otis' vestTrudy Otis wove this "Honeysuckle Vest". She and Julie Singer George joined forces to expand an original Atwater four shaft draft to six, eight, and twelve shaft versions. The vest won the Best in Show at the 2001 New England Weavers Seminar Fashion Show. Lillian Whipple, "Home on the Range", an original design which was inspired by a theme of the same name chosen by the Complex Weavers for their booth at the Association of NW Weavers' Guilds Conference held in Bozeman, MT, in 1999. The visual pun is woven in taquete using conference colors as background. The warp is 140/2 silk schappe sett at 50 epi. Weft is rayon machine embroidery thread.
