Chair: Karina Nielsen, E-mail to the Study Group Coordinator
CWStudyGroupCoord@complex-weavers.org
Fees: None
Publication: By the end of the year (October 2009) a CD will be prepared and
sent to the CW library.
Sample Exchange: Members are required to contribute twice per year with an on-line
exchange. This will consist of drafts and scan of the weaving in JPG format. There
should also be a description of yarns, setting, problem solving etc. in a PDF file. The
drafts should either be a WIF file or show the drafts in another way e.g. by hand as the
weaving software does not show the interlacing of twisting in the gauze leno structure
exactly, or perhaps both ways.
To Join: E-mail the chair listed above.
Group began: 2007
Closing Date:
Membership: Unlimited
Karina Nielsen can no longer continue as Study Group Leader. If no one expresses interest in taking over for Karina, or there are too few members to continue by June 2010, the group will be discontinued.
The Gauze / Leno study group is an on-line group. All you need is an interest, desire and some curiosity to weave and develop further with gauze leno structures.
The Gauze / Leno group is for weavers of all levels, both beginners and advanced. It will concentrate on:
- Bead Leno
- Doup Leno
- Mock Leno
- Hand manipulated Gauze.
